Scenic Flight to Lukla

Our trek will begin with the thrilling and enchanting flight from Kathmandu or Manthali to Lukla. This brief flight establishes an exhilarating prelude to the journey, showcasing panoramic vistas of the Himalayan range. The small Tenzing-Hillary airport will welcome us with its open arms to start the trek, which will be a thrilling expedition to Island Peak.

Everest Base Camp

This strenuous climb to the Everest Base Camp combines with the enchanting adventure and achievement. The base camp, which is draped and covered by the Khumbu glacier and prayer flags, offers us the surreal experience of adventure and achievement. We will have our adventurous dream just completed in front of our very eyes. The journey to EBC is adventurous yet equally rewarding.

Island Peak Summit:

We will climb the Island Peak at 6189m, which is our highest point on this trek as well. This peak climbing is a thrilling mountaineering challenge that requires technical skills with crampons and ropes. The 10-12 hour ascent from the Base Camp will reward us with the majestic and unparalleled views of the neighbouring Himalayas.

Kala Patthar Sunrise:

The early morning ascent to Kala Patthar represents the pinnacle of this trekking expedition. We will get to stand on the elevation of staggering with the gigantic view of the Everest, Changtse, Nuptse, and others in the backdrop. We are rewarded with the closest view of Everest. The golden light that illuminates the peak will be a pristine view and will get close to our hearts for the rest of our lives.

Namche Bazaar:

Khumjung Village:

Day 1

Arrival in Kathmandu.

Welcome to Nepal via Tribhuwan International Airport in Kathmandu. Our representative staff will welcome you at the airport and transfer you to the hotel. You will rest and refresh for a while. We will take you to the local market of Thamel to make last-minute preparations for the trek. You will get a briefing from the assigned guide for the thrilling two weeks of Himalayan Adventure. We rest well and get ready for the exciting two weeks ahe
Day 2

Fly/Drive to Lukla, Trek to Phakding

If the weather permits, we board an early morning flight to Lukla. This will be a thrilling half-hour flight above the snow-capped Himalayas. We will take the preliminary views of the Himalayas from the air. The trek will start from the town of Lukla, where we will meet our porters and follow the trail alongside the Dudh Koshi river. Overnight will be in Phakding.
Day 3

Trek to Namche Bazaar

We will have some time of descent towards the Dudh Koshi river while we trace towards Phakding. This will be a journey of about 6 hours. The trail will cross the bustling, lush landscapes and suspension bridges over the Dudh Koshi river. We will traverse with the enchanting views of Thamserku and a few opening glimpses of Everest. Overnight will be spent in a guesthouse in Namche Bazaar.
Day 4

Acclimatization Day at Namche Bazaar.

We have scheduled a rest day today. This rest day allows us to adapt to the lower oxygen levels and adjust to the higher altitude. Embark on an enriching optional trek to the renowned Hotel Everest View, coupled with a visit to the captivating Sherpa Museum. Today, we will explore the historically and culturally rich town of Namche Bazaar with the opening panoramic views of the Himalayan grandeur. This cultural excursion offers a deep dive into the heritage of the region, set against breathtaking Himalayan vistas. Overnight in Namche.
Day 5

Trek to Tengboche

This will be a bit of strenuous ascent from Namche to Tengboche. This trek introduces us to the giant views of the Himalayas as Ama Dablam will be struck over our heads. We will see a rugged terrain and rhododendron forests fading away to the alpine meadows. Arriving at Tengboche and immersing ourselves in the vibrant traditions of the iconic Tengboche Monastery. Revel in the serene ambiance, framed by the majestic peaks, for a truly soul-stirring experience. We will explore the rich culture of Tengboche Monastery and soak in the atmosphere against the backdrop that is striking.
Day 6

Trek to Dingboche.

The trek continues further to Dingboche, which is a high-altitude stop at 4410m. We will trek through the alpine landscapes of the Khumbu region alongside Imja Khola and a rocky trail with yak pastures. Dingboche offers stunning views of Lhotse and Island Peak. We will rest and enjoy the tranquility of the village, which is scenic and cultural. We will stay here tomorrow as well for acclimatization.
Day 7

Acclimatization Day at Dingboche

We have a second acclimatization day in Dingboche to adjust to the higher altitude. We have an optional hike to the peak of Nangkartsang for a challenging and rewarding 3-4 hour round-trip hike. This invigorating trek ascends to greater heights, rewarding adventurers with awe-inspiring panoramic views of Makalu and Ama Dablam, showcasing nature’s grandeur at its finest. We will spend the rest of the afternoon resting and exploring the village while soaking ourselves in the serene Himalayan environment.
Day 8

Trek to Lobuche

Today, we will have a short day of trek with just 4-5 hours. Along the journey, glacial moraine will be traversed. We will pay solemn tribute to the brave mountaineers who tragically lost their lives scaling Everest, honoring their legacy amidst the sacred Himalayan landscape. We will also pass through the stunning views of Pumori and Nuptse. We will reach Dingboche and prepare for the Everest Base Camp hike tomorrow. We will rest and stay overnight in a basic teahouse in Lobuche.
Day 9

Trek to Everest Base Camp, Return to Gorak Shep

We will have a short hike of about 2-3 hours from Lobuche to Gorak Shep. We will have a short break, do lunch, and start our trek again for about 2-3 hours for the great grandeur of Everest Base Camp. You will find the base camp surrounded by the glaciers and prayer flags. Enjoy the little stay, take digital memories, and soak in the grand achievement of the triumph. Celebrate your achievement before descending to Gorak Shep (5,164m) for the night. We will return to Gorak Shep for another thrilling journey tomorrow.
Day 10

Hike to Kala Patthar, Descend to Pheriche.

Early morning hike to Kala Patthar awaits. This will be the highest point we will step to during the trek. The Kala Patthar viewpoint provides us with a perfectly picturesque view of the peaks like Everest, Changtse, and Nuptse. We will get back to Gorak Shep, have breakfast, and start descending. Overnight in Pheriche.
Day 11

Trek to Chukhung

We will have a 3-4 hour journey through the Imja Valley towards Chhukkung. This is a 3-4 hour journey against the serene backdrop of Ama Dablam and Island Peak while passing the yak pastures and small settlements. We get to enjoy Chhukung, a tranquil hamlet nestled in the Himalayas, serving as the ideal base for preparing to conquer the challenging ascent of Island Peak. We will rest in a teahouse while we ensure we are ready for the challenging ascent ahead.
Day 12

Trek to Island Peak Base Camp

We will have a short 3-4 hour ascent from Chhukung to the Base Camp of Island Peak. This journey will be filled with the serene backdrops of Lhotse and Imja Tse. We will reach the base camp that sits at a staggering altitude of 5100m. This base camp is where we will set up tents and prepare for the climb. We will review climbing techniques and rest early to conserve the energy required.
Day 13

Climb Island Peak, Return to Chukhung

The grand day of the Island Peak summit is here. This will be about 10-12 hours for a strenuous ascent and descent. We will start pre-dawn using crampons and ropes to navigate snow and ice. We will reach the summit at early sunrise for the great views of Lhotse and Makalu. We have to descend carefully to base camp and then trek back to Chhukkung.
Day 14

Spare Day for Island Peak.

This spare day is reserved for the contingencies that may occur, like bad weather. If this spare day is not needed, we will succeed in a swift expedition, we will get back to Chhukung and rest in a basic but cozy teahouse. We can enjoy the breathtaking scenery of the mountains around us. This flexibility ensures our safety and the success of the expedition to Island Peak.
Day 15

Trek to Tengboche

We will descend back to Tengboche from Chhukkung today. This will be a 5-6 hour descent through the Imja and Dudh Koshi Valleys. We get to pass through the Dingboche village and cross the suspension bridges while enjoying the striking vistas of the peaks like Ama Dablam. We will arrive in Tengboche and enjoy the striking views in a serene setting. This is where we will spend our overnight.
Day 16

Trek to Namche Bazaar via Khumjung

Journey downward through the charming village of Khumjung, en route to the vibrant hub of Namche Bazaar, soaking in the scenic beauty of the Himalayan trails. Khumjung is a major stopover for this redirected journey while ascending. Khumjung is an important village as this features the historic monastery and Hillary School. We will continue our trek further to Namche Bazaar, where we will reach by Evening and stay in a cozy teahouse.
Day 17

Trek to Lukla

This descending and ascending path from Namche to Lukla takes about 7 hours to complete. The trail will follow the riverbed of the Dudh Koshi River. The descent will feel a lot easier with the lush forests and warm air. While we arrive in Lukla, we mark the end of our walking section to the grand trek to the Everest Base Camp. We will spend our night in Lukla.
Day 18

Flight to Kathmandu or Manthali, Drive to Kathmandu.

This is our last day of the trek as we board our flight towards Kathmandu or Manthali, depending on the weather. The retraces of magnificent views of the mountains will follow us again for the last time. Only if the weather becomes friendly will we get back to Kathmandu and enjoy the urban amenities. Gather tonight in Kathmandu for a memorable celebration dinner, where we’ll share exhilarating stories and reflect on the unforgettable moments of our epic journey.
Day 19

Departure from Kathmandu

Depending on our flight schedule, we will stroll around Kathmandu city to buy some souvenirs after the morning breakfast. Reflecting on our amazing journey to the Everest Base Camp, we will carry the memories of the Himalayan peaks, Sherpa culture, and personal achievement. We hope to see you again in Nepal soon.
